The Sentinels of Engaruka is an upcoming photobook and visual storytelling project based on a documentary film narrative exploring the changing landscapes of the Engaruka Valley in northern Tanzania. Through photography and cinematic storytelling, the project follows the relationship between Maasai pastoralist communities, endangered Masai giraffes, and the land they share, tracing cycles of drought, rainfall, migration, and resilience. Rooted in both environmental and cultural history, the book examines how people and wildlife continue to adapt within a rapidly changing ecosystem.
Currently in development and scheduled for publication in the near future, I am sharing a few photographs from the forthcoming photobook.
